Wrapping up my Online Experience A.

To wrap up Online Experience A I'm going to answer some questions. Why is Technology important, technology is important because we use it in everyday life and it runs our economy and we use it in everyday life. Technology has changed me dramatically over the last 5 years with all the new TV's and computers and some gaming systems I have gained more knowledge with some cyber crimes and other stuff in that sort. In the next 5 years don't expect us to see flying cars expect faster computers and smarter computers, maybe upgraded software. For my school work I use my laptop and study websites, I tend to use my laptop everyday for a lot of stuff.  I use my xbox, laptop, and my TV in everyday life. I probably won't use many things I learned in here, but I do like the the iGoogle, and the Google Reader, those I probably will use in the future. The most practical thing in all of the tools was a blog, a blog you can do yourself and get information and give information about a specific thing. A tool that I'll never use again is an RSS Feed, I didn't like those at all. My favorite tool to create was a Avatar. My least favorite was the RSS! Thanks for everything, bye. :)

This movie Cyber Bully, was very true. A lot of people are bullied online and then they go crazy thinking no one likes them and they think life isn't worth all the harsh comments and mean remarks about them. Sometimes people don't stand up to the bully and sometimes that ends up with them killing themselves. In the stories we talked about in class the kids never stood up to the bully and it ended up worse for them. In the movie they stood up to the girl and in the end they were happy and the bully realized what she had been doing by so many people sticking up on the the opposite side of her. She was embarrassed to take the criticism.

Blog Post on Podcasts

Well as I am listening to this podcast as I type this it is a little static, but it's very good, it gives you a lot of good information on one topic such as we did in our class. It's like listening to a commercial free radio, but it's only on the topic you like. I like listening to them talk over reading the writing, it helps get the emotion, typing is just boring and sometimes makes you want to sleep. This information is very reliable and is very in detailed. There is no way I can put a link or a way to listen to it because I lost the link, terribly sorry. But this has been Tristan's awesome blog, keep reading.

They raised their prices from very low to very high about 500$ high. This has been my blog on Technology until next time, i'm Tristan and I'm out.

Review.

During the last few weeks, or months whatever it has been, we have been focusing on Online Safety and good netiquette. Good netiquette and online safety are two major things online. Never give out personal information or say something you'll regret later in life. Identity theft is huge too, if someone is asking for your personal information such as; DOB, Address, or anything personal to you. Always keep passwords to yourself, you may share them with your parents but never your closest friends. Like I said before never ever give out personal information or post something on the internet that you'll regret later in life. Until next post, this has been Tristan and I'm out.

Netiquette

Netiquette is a set of unspoken rules on the internet, they allow you to have safety on the internet from others. It affects everyone on the internt and that means you. Examples of good netiquette are pointing out mistakes polietly. Bad netiquette IS USING ALL CAPS BECAUSE IT MEANS YOU'RE SHOUTING! It may sseem like you to that person and always remember they have feelings too.

What is a social network, what's a digital footprint, and how does a social network work?

A social network is a network that has many computers all on one server; it allows you to connect with your friends post what you're doing or "What's on your mind?" and you can share photo's with your friends and family. A Digital Footprint is a history of what you've did on that server or on your computer, it's like you "Web History" on your internet explorer. A social netowork works by getting many computers to connect to the same server and then from there allowing you to abide by the rules and regulations of the site.

Copyright...

Copyrighting someone's work is taking it and making illegal copys and giving them to the public no matter if you charge them. You have to keep it to yourself if you buy it, ande if you don't buy it and illeagally download it, you can't reproduce it. P2P is illegal in America unlike it is in Canada because it's leagal up there. So in all conclusion, if you don't buy it, don't sell it. Also, in conclusion don't download unsecure files, they're not good for your computer and may contain viruses.

John Fogerty vs Creedence Clearwater Revival

In order to be able to leave Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Fogerty had to sign away all of his royalties in CCR’s stable of songs. In the end they signed them away to the CCR and John Fogerty left. After this the band had no hard feelings for eachother and ended up being friends again. Then Zaentz filed a Defamation of Character suit and then later filed another suit claiming that the lead track to that same album; The Old Man Down the Road, was a replica of a CCR song; Run Through the Jungle. Essentially, John Fogerty was now being accused of plagiarizing himself. After hearing the song in court the judge decided that they were not the same and the case was dropped.

Technology and Me.

I use all sorts of technology ofr all sorts of things such as my phone to keep in contanct with my friends, my laptop to play games, keep my grades up, and facebook. I love my Droid X it keeps me in touch with everything; it has a facebook app, text messaging and calling! I use it a lot.

China Project

I believe my project went very well, I did my slides with a lot of information. The thing I could've improved on was nunciating my words better. They were Chinese names and very hard to read so I had a difficult time with them.I believe I got a decent grade and can't wait for the next PowerPoint because I very much enjoyed that one. My favorite part of the whole project was being able to look at how other countries operate and view what they do, and boy am I glad I live in the United States, because in China they have a dictatorship and it's harsh. Overall I figured my project went very well.

My year in review.

My last year was very good, the highlight of my 2011 year was baseball. I did very well and had a great season. Our team won about 75% of our games, which means we won more than we lost. The down part of my year was loosing my grandma. I took it very hard. I probably wounldn't have done anything differently, can't live life with regrets. My goal in 2012 is to get good grades and focus on sports, in the long run that is what counts. If I were given $100,000 right now at the start of 2012, I'd put it in a college saving and keep about $15,000 just for spending, I have high hopes for 2012, so let's go!
